With its gorgeous weather year-round, what better way to make the most of San Diego’s climate than owning a home with a resort-style pool? Not only do these pool homes feature a great way to cool off, but many include spas, gorgeous landscaping, solar panels, and renovated kitchens.

Recent data from Redfin found that a private pool can add between $11,591 to $95,393 to a property’s value. Likewise, HGTV reports a pool can increase a home’s worth between 5-8%. Since 2020, that value has been increasing even more. The Top Agent’s Insights Report published by HomeLight noted that in the last two years the value a pool adds to a home has appreciated by 69%!

The health benefits of owning a pool are equally as enticing. A 2017 British Journal of Sports Medicine study tracking more than 80,000 adults, found that adults who swam had a 41% lower risk of death from heart disease.
